Stress and trauma can have a profound effect on our ability to feel well and engage fully with life. Often times we develop symptoms related to depression, anxiety, chronic pain, or stress-related disorders as a result of overwhelming events we have experienced. I offer a unique approach to therapy that incorporates talk and body-based modalities.
Clients often report a reduction of symptoms, improved relationships with self and others, a greater ability to understand and regulate themselves, and increased fulfillment from engaging in therapy.
Main modalities I use include Somatic Experiencing, which is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and stress related disorders. I incorporate yoga therapy and trauma-informed yoga practices to enhance self-awareness, self-regulation, and empowerment.
When aligned with the client’s goals, I also take clients outside for ecotherapy, which is a form of therapy dedicated to healing and connection through a healthy relationship to the Earth.
